Recognition: lumpy and mudbrick collapse - more fill like 3571 above which was a roughly stamped down (undualting) floor surface 

Definition: defined by plaster lined/covered mudbrick walls to NS and E (although partially collapsed plaster wall to N. More walls over ca. 10-12 cm further in from the upper un-plaster lined walls suggesting a re-orientation in walls/building space and an earlier phase 

Execution: trowel, handshovel 

Condition: cloudy (intermittent) windy temperate 

Consistency: hard compact bricky 

Colour: 7.5 YR 5/3 brown 

Texture: silty clayish loam 50% clay 30% silt 20 % sand 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: salty phytolith material small chunks of plaster 3% + daub some of pot sherds stands vertically in the soil, mudbrick 5%, charcoal flecks 1-2% occ. Pottery quite large chunks/frags - much animal bone, some of which is burnt 

Post-depositional Features: animal disturbance - not too bad and heavy root action 

Basal Boundary: arbituary - decided to end / no ….. new wall line
