Discussion: This is a midden placed to the east of the bricky layer deposited at the top of the roof of the Neolithic building. In the western part it is put on top of the latter unit. It is composed of numerous thin layers of ashy silty sand and contains a large number of artefacts. 

 

Recognition: color, consistency 

Definition: grey midden 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: dry, hot, friable 

Consistency: from friable to compact 

Colour: mid grey to dark grey 

Texture: silty sand 

Bedding: compound layered 

Inclusions: pottery, obsidian, animal bones, shell, CBM
