Discussion: This is a large and deep midden deposit. It is placed directly underneath a levelling bricky layer (7813). It is a first layer of midden placed on the fallen roof or floor of the Neolithic building.

Condition: dry, hot, windy 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: mid brown with light brown & mid grey 

Texture: sandy clay loam and sandy loam 

Bedding: mixed deposits 

Inclusions: pottery, animal bones, obsidian, shell, CBM, flint, human bone 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrowings 

Basal Boundary: levelled
