Unit 7955
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Bin fill
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: bin; Material: pise-like; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: Tracking: Full-On.
This unit went through the plaster layer of unit 7952. Below the unit was a thick layer of mixed fill, often quite compact. After about 20 cm of fill, a more homogenous layer appeared on the left (western( side of the unit, while the right (eastern) side still looked like fill. In between these two areas a thin plaster line was found, but the southern end of the line was destroyed by an animal disturbance, so it is unclear if the line went all the way to the southern wall. In the eastern area, a horn core was discovered. Because of the two different contexts, the feature was split into two new units, 7959 on the eastern side, 7960 on the western side.
Thickness of unit estimated in PX (DE 18/07/09).
