Description: not excavated. Probably the wall of a bin or basin, but unclear what bin or basin it belongs to.
Discussion: This unit is an arm wall that is most probably the wall of a bin or basin. This wall appears to be part of the the basin in feauture 1666. The wall is made of mudbrick, of a different make-up than that of 7963 or 7964, and slants in a south-western direction, out of sinc with other partition walls around it. The western end is plastered and turns south. The western end is near, but unattached to the partition wall, feature 1659. A plaster lininig begins at the west end of 7965, and goes along the souther face of the unit, until it hits the western end of wall 7963. The plaster then goes up the wall, covering the western face of the wall, 9 cm at its thickest. However, the plaster from 7965 is of a different color and consistancy of the rest of the plaster on 7963, and so it is clear that 7965 came later, and plastered over 7963. The plaster line then slopes down off the wall and rejoins the wall of 7965 at the eastern end, ending in a plaster surface about 10 cm after the end of the mudbrick partition wall. 7965 was interprested to have been constructed after the bin in feature 1652, for reasons disscused above. As well, it cuts into the western edge of 7963, and is possibly the reason that 7963 and 7964 no longer are connected. This is the latest phase in feature 1652.
Recognition: mudbrick partition wall with plater lining
Definition: partition wall at the northwest corner of feature 1652, slanted in a southwest direction.
