Discussion: White plaster on top of this bin was part of the floor from the later phases when this bin did not exist. It was cut (its edges), filled with packing and covered with layers of floor. The walls of the bin are preserved above the bottom of the bin, but it's still hard to follow their outlines, especially because the N part of the wall of F.781 was at the same time south wall of F.782.
Packing underneath this floor was made of several types of soil: right bellow the floor was thin layer of red - brown clay, beneath it was a coarse layer of red burnt packing mixed with lumps of plaster and concetration of sand an "peagravel". Lots of plant remains and charred wood were found in this lowest layer which lies on the floor of this bin ( maybe not the only floor ). It's not clear whether E edge of the bin belongs to bin itself or to the screenwall.
After removal of surrounding floor (# 8411) it became obvius that the bin had two phases, and that in later phase it was contemporary with F. 780.
While cleaning the ridge of the bin we found out that it also has two phases of building up, so we removed part that belongs to the first (upper floor and packing) phase and partly layer that goes with second floor (revealed when this unit was removed). Now we have the lip between F.780 and 781 very clearly distinguished, as well as relationship between them.
This unit comprises: first floor of the bin (upper one), packing between and upper part of the ridge.
Flotation sample 2 contains dirt from the first floor layer, sample 6 is packing, and sample 7 comprises dirt from the ridge.
