Discussion: Combined bricks and mortar of the N wall. Except for flotation samples of bricks (unit 8640) and mortar (unit 8641) everything was sieved and attributed this unit.
It is important to notice that bricks of this wall were overlapping with the bricks in the E and W wall, meaning that they were contemporary.
Also it appears (same as in the W wall) that these upper rows of bricks are the same as the brick between two layers of "special mortar" underneath and that they were all laid at the same time since we found the special mortar between as well underneath the last row (it connected them sideway - see sketch) of "normal", "upper" bricks.
Came down to bottom course of brick in wall 174 and removed the bottom course as separate unit 8680.
Removal of this coutse revealed another course of brick most likely of earlier wall.
