Discussion: 9000 is possibly a remnant of (7723) room fill which was overlying floor surface (7735). It was the sunken top of (F748).
Deposit when room was backfilled. 

Recognition: Following removal of layer overlying floor 7735 instilation, F748 was noted and with removal of grave F735 the section through it was revealed. 

Definition: Diffuse 

Execution: Cleaned with trowel 

Condition: Hot, dry, sunny 

Consistency: Friable 

Colour: 10YR 5/2 Greyish brown 

Texture: Silty clay 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Occasional flecks of plaster, flecks of charcoalwith large lumps of pot 

Post-depositional Features: Bioturbation - ground squirrels 

Basal Boundary: Quite sharp, comes down onto plaster layer.
