Data Category Information: Description: very mixed

Dimensions: e-n = c. 4.00 m; n-s = c. 4.00 m; depth = 0.1 m. 

Discussion: This is a mixture of material including some building restruction material. The presence of a glass vessel rim indicates that at this level the deposits of neolithic and historical date are still well mixed. Also the cut of a Byzantine grave was only visible after the removal of this later. 

Recognition: mixed material with patchy of ash and collapsed mud-brick 

Definition: within the confines of walls of building

Colour: patchy of grey ash and mid orange mud-brick as well as isolated areas of mortar 

Texture: 60% ash, 10% sand. 30% silt

Inclusions: occ pot, occ bone, occ obsidian, moderate charcoal flecks and larger pieces 

Post-depositional Features: occasional rodent holes 

Basal Boundary: the base of the unit was taken as the level where a floor as well as cut features became visible
