Discussion: This is a late Roman/Byzantine burial. The grave is lined with at least 7 upright roof tiles, vertically placed. The grave fill consisted of both friable soils and compact ones. The head tile is set such that it appears longer then the others--at a ''TT'' configurations rather than lined up. (symbol) There is not a tile at the position of the feet. The fill was quite deep with the skeleton resting directly on another set of tiles (5) which were plaed horizontally to complete the grave lining. There were several inclusions within the fill, including animal bone, a few pieces of obsidian and pottery sherds. The grave was impressive with the tiles. The grave cut was not obvious at the feet where the lack of an end tile made the cut less apparent. The last tile (SE corner) was inclined inwards towards the grave.
