Interpretive Categories: bricks/wall

Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick&mortar; Deposition: homogeneous

Description: FT

Discussion: Because this short wall was covered by the floors 10259, 10236, 10243 etc, we know that the wall was not tall standing. We interpret it as retaining wall for this raised platform in building 47.
Not yet excavated (just in case it is just reused in building 47 and it's also part of an earlier structure)

Recognition: clearly seen as bricks

Definition: three grey bricks on the corner of building 47 at NW-SE

Execution: trowel

Condition: hot

Consistency: firm

Colour: grey

Texture: clay

Bedding: compound; bricks one next to the other
