Unit 10263
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: North
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick&mortar; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: Red bricks, possibly an E-W wall. We see it as a retaining wall for a potentially raised area inside building 47. Floors 10259, 10246 go upwards next to it and cover it, so the wall wasn't standing. Very eroded area, so we can not say whether it indeed was a platform.
The wall might be part of an earlier structure and just reused in building 47.
Not yet excavated, just exposed.
