Unit description: F1 is the base of a needle, designated small find/sample number 118 in the field. HF-2014 recording protocol. Small unit made up of D.S and >4mm flotation material (171). D.S makes up mainly sheep size fragments containing loose teeth, shaft fragments and distal epiphyses. Cattle size fagments were mainly made up of chunks of vertebrae, a patella, distal metapodial, and other long bone shafts. Two maxillary horse teeth were recorded. A sheep/goat phalanx with an unfused shaft and epiphysis was bagged seperately for possible C14 dating. Flotation contains approx 15% burning. Several fish fragments were extracted and a micro mammal mandible. A pig canine was recorded. There was also quite a lot of scrap material weighing =69Figurine Records: Yes
