Unit 10442
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Plaster surface
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: white clay; Deposition: composite (floors/bedding/plaster/packing/occupation); Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: Plaster surfacing to southern face of bench F1503 appears to be made up of several very thin layers closest to bench face, a thicker deposit of plaster and then several more thin layers on outer face.
(10442) would therefore appear to relate to a refurbishing of the bench and is probably related to resurfacing deposit (10441) on platform F1510.
Two pieces of obsidian found in plaster also!
So at similar time to platform F1510 being replastered and raised/extended, bench F1503 also being replastered.
Recognition: Plaster surface(s) on southern side of bench F1503
Execution: Trowel and brush
Condition: Dry
Consistency: Friable
Colour: Light yellowish white
