Unit 10452
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Plaster fill
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: white clay; Deposition: single; Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: Small strip of plaster filling gap between two plaster surfaces, (10451) to N and (10408) to S. (10451) has a vertical face and platform F1502 (10408) has a sloping face (45 degrees approx.) so a gap 3cm wide and 2cm deep exists between them. This may have been deliberate or platform F1502 has slumped to leave this gap.
No gap was noted to west of 'niche' F1508. Obsidian blade fragment recovered from deposit - probably deliberate?
This deposit appears to represent a repair of platforms in much the same way sealant is put around a bath/sink etc to seal gap.
Recognition: Small strip of plaster under make up layer (10448).
Definition: Between (10451) F1501 and (10408) F1502. Plaster surfaces of platforms.
Execution: Leaf trowel and brush
