Description: FT 

 

Discussion: Light greyish brown silt packing. Initial layer prior to laying of plaster surface. Identical to (10491) + (10490) relating to F1501 +F1502 respectively. Very high organic content, mainly chaff but also roots and grases. 

 

Recognition: seen after removal of plaster surfaces (10484) + (10489) 

Definition: defined by bench F1503 

Execution: trowel, leaf , brush 

Condition: dry 

Consistency: loose and friable 

Colour: light greyish brown 

Texture: silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions:  

Post-depositional Features: animal disturbance 

Basal Boundary: clear
