Description: upper fill of cut 10811[feature 1702] SEE BELOW
FAST TRACK

Discussion: NB/ this fill was identified as part of F.1702 but in post ex has been re allocated to F.1709 based on XYZ location of artefacts associated with this fill which place it closer to burial F.1709 (SF 29/04/11).

upper fill of cut 10811. Although the matrix seemed distinct in the south section it was harder to distinguish to the north.

Given these circumstances it is possible that unit 10812 is identical to the surrounding unit 10818. However, the matrix did seem distinct on the whole.

Note the extent of cut 10811 was confirmed in later excavations.

Note from Freja Evans Swogger 8/08/04
When filling in the x finds sheets database Demet noticed that there were in fact three separate, different X1 sheets ( 1 obsidian waste flake, one obsidian arrowhead and one ground stone all dug by different people on different days)
I collected all three and by a process of elimination, decided which one was really no 1 and which should be given the following numbers,
However on the find sheet there was an entry for an X find X2 bone which I searched high and low for. It was not on any of my daily logs, x find logs or in the bone lab at all.
I suspect this was a long drawn out excavation of a context by several different people and that the x find recording system got a little confused.
I think that X 3 ground stone is probably what they originally called x2 but as ground stone label does not have the coordinates filled in I cant tell. So I erased X2 from the x finds category of this unit sheet but I will write the details down here, just in case X2 is found one day.
So X2 was Bone x912.3 y981.3 z1006.35
