Discussion: Bedding below wall blocking. Lower blocking of gap between spaces 107 and 108, creating a stable basis for blocking wall to sit on. It was keyed into the 'doorstep' by cutting a slot through the floors of the step. This layer fills the cut in the step and continues upwards a little way with bricky bits and hard clayey matrix with more finds than in the wall itself.

Colour: 2.5Y 5/3 - 6/3 light olive brown - light yelowish brown
Texture: silty clay

Inclusions: Phytolith frequet; occasional medium bone; occasional small and medium chrcoal; occasional hack berry
Post-depositional Features:
Basal Boundary: lower boundary of fill contains plaster and clay patches, very mixed, thrown into base of cut.
