Unit 11265
Category: Cut dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: burial cut body removal pit
Data Category Information: Description: burial
Discussion: apparent burial cut, only there wasn’t any burail in it. Very clear cut at top where cut through a grey plaster layer about 8cm down cut through another plaster layer. The edges felt good to me after that, particularly on the w and n side with base. There is a bone sticking up through the base, but the base felt good so Ive left it. Feel I may have overcut slightly towards the base on the e side. Cut seems to run very slightly under the edge of platfrom F. 1321. Presume the body removed from here and bickfilled wity material containing a lot of human bone- or bone from burials slightly disturbed by cut and put back in with the backfill.
This has now been allocated to burial F.1347 11651 RR 2009
L, W taken using CAD.. V approximated. T.C.C. 20-07-09.
Recognition: after removal of plaster layer, but expecting a cut here beacause of the previous plaster re-surfacing
