Category: Layer dug in 2005
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: bench
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: external; Material: brick&mortar
Dimensions: 0.80 x 0.40 x 0,28
Discussion: This is a bench located in NW corner of space 248, Outer surface of the bench was plastered (unit 11576), The bench is built of three courses of greyish mudbricks divided by mortar.
A small bin (unit 11574) was placed in N part of the bin at the level of the upper course. A base of the bin is on top of the second course of mudbricks.
Interestingly, its surface in this place is light brown that sharply contrasts with light greyish colour of remaining part of the bricks at this level. This may indicate thet the base of the bin was plastered. Bricks at this level are well preserved and have the following dimntions: 44x78x4 cm.
Third course of the bricks lies on the bricky infill layer in its N part and partly on fragment of platform, probably from phase II by Mellaart (unit 11529),
