Discussion: This is a floor of main part of Building 61. It comprises the oldest phase in the floor in this part of the Building. The floor was covered with thin layer of plaster which was only recorded in its central part (unit 13010, 13011). It is impossible to access wheather an entire surface was plastered or only section in which it was preserved.
Due to the lack of internal space divisions and considerable size of the floor, few archive and flotation samples were taken to recognise a possible differentation of the floor space use (S1-S4, S11- archive, S5-S7, S9, S12 - flotation). The flotation samples were taken in the following locations:
S5 - SE corner, next to cut 11589
S6 - NE corner, close to platform 11529
S7 - E part of the unit
S9 - S part of the floor, around unit 13016
S12 - central section of floor
The were also two 14C samples taken (S8, S10).
A floor surface was broken off along the N-S axis due to unspecified postdepositional process. As a result it was sloping eastwards.
The depth of this unit was abou 3 cm, but as it was sloping east, the lowest is much lower.
On the aurfase, fourteen yet unspecified holes have been recorded some of which were recognised during the excavation as made by rodent. Nevertheless it is also possible that some of them may be postholes associated with the internal wooden constructions.

Finds Room Information:
All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.
