Discussion: This is a cut of a posthole found within a make up layer (11590) under the Roman floor (unit 10988). 11590 was a second layer of leveling under this floor, wile the first layer was recorded as unit 11579.

It is then possible that the posthole was also present in layer 11579 but it was not easy visible and therefore was not recorded there. The sign of this posthole was also visible in the W edge of wall 12206.

There has been also another posthole recorded in association with this Roman floor (10988) and noticed within make up layer 11579. Its infill has been excavated as unit 11584 and its cut recorded as 11585.
