Faunal Records: Yes Count of records:: 69 Unit description: Medium size unit consisting of mostly sheep-size elements. Light brown in color with light to moderate weathering and with the presence of manganese staining. A few of the frags show signs of digestion and some of the smaller fragments are burnt. Very few of the elements are ID's. Flotation >4mm, 100%, recorded completely. Many small bits of scrap, along with a few long bone and rib fragments, some tooth fragments, a complete microfaunal vertebra and another microfaunal piece, and several small, whole sesamoids. Some low-temperature burning, one calcined piece, and low to moderate weathering. Last number = 69 |
