Discussion: This Neolithic neonate was located in the northern area of space 265 up against the northern wall. The burial cut and burial fill were distinct. The grave was quite small. Unfortunately, a large portion of the skeleton was removed by the excavators of this area such that only a small portion of the burial remained in situ. Nonetheless, body position and orientation could be inferred from the bones remaining in situ. Also, the size of the burial cut limited the possible position the body could be put.
This neonate was located just north of Sk 11982, a Neolithic juvenile also foundin Space 265. In addition, several neonates were located in space 264 which is just north of space 265. All appear to be located at aproximately the same level.

(skeleton within grave cut 12364. Sealed by an erosion horizon 11962. There are no surviving secure occupation units within this space relating to B.54. FS
