Discussion: This is a layer situated in a middle of an extension. It was situated to the E from a fragment of wall (unit 12224) being posibly another part of a wall (11792)- but divided for it by a cut (11589).
Above unit 12242, there was a unit 12225 which formed a make-up layer below a wall 10985.
As far as levels are consumed, unit 12242 may be same as as lower level of unit 12200, which was situated on its S side.
