Unit 12278
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: bricky layer
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: heterogeneous
Dimensions: 3.40 x 1.60 x 0.20
Discussion: It is a bricky layer formed probably by destruction or abandonment of Building 61 dated to Phase II, or its later reconstruction. The layer infill was rather heterogenous and composed of large number of constructional elements (bricks, mortar). Some fragments of painted plaster were also found. It is questionable wheter this infill was homogenous in terms of its depositional history. The layer was located between the following units: from S side-11503, E- 12275.
This layer was truncated by later pis (11760, 11741, 11589).
It appears as if the layer was formed in the same way as adjacent layers recorded as u. 12297 and 12282.
