Unit 12551
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: make-up,plaster surface
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: white clay; Deposition: composite (floors/bedding/plaster/packing/occupation); Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: Reddish brown plaster make up on floor platform. Section shows that it is actually made up of four layers, each 4-5 mm thick, each probably representing a re-laying event (see photos). Against the W and N walls, some plaster remains between some of the layers, indicating the floor was most likely plastered on top of make up but worn in areas other than the wall (see photos). Deposit dips down by wall F1527, as it does by N wall, where there was a layer of plaster between red layers as well.
Deposit dips down by wall F1527, also by N wall F1524 where there was a layer of plaster btwn red layers as well.
