Dimensions: 2.5m x 1.2m xup to .12m thick 

 

Discussion: Another mudbrick ashy deposit similar in appearance to (13134). Clearly visible in section didnt extend far to the west and thinning to west. 

 

Recognition: Recognised in section and in plan after hoeing clean but on excavatin quickly lost it to west 

Definition: Clear insection but uncertain of western and southern edges thinning to west 

Execution: Mattock 

Condition: Dry 

Consistency: Friable 

Colour: Yellowish grey 

Texture: Slighly sandy silt 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Moderate charcoal fuels occ. Stone occ. Bone frags 

Post-depositional Features: Truncated by Byzantine foundation trench 

Basal Boundary: Distinct in section smooth inclined S to N
