Discussion: Cut of disturbed grave filled by 13740.
An irregular recut of a grave that has been comletely destroyed by this disturbance. Skeleton completely destroyed, though a little of the original grave fill may survive around the E end, marked my lumps of reddish clay. Whether this is deliberate robbing or a side effect of later pit digging (to extract mudbrick perhaps) is unclear. This may be the same as grave cut 13730 since the fills were basically the same (though there is some human bone in 13739/40), simply that part of the cut which went into the earlier grave.
Recognition: Recognised from soft fill (13740) - then came on to more compact ?Chalcolithic deposits which it appears to truncate/ cut through
