Discussion: Fill of disturbance 13741 (probably Byzantine) - probably same as 13731 but given separate number for spatial control and to retain integrity of human remains 

Recognition: loose and soft distinct from surrounding area - contained fragments of human bone, particularly skull so recognised as distinct fill from 13731 above. Although this is probably part of the same disturbance event is had been given a different number in order to retain spatial control and to keep any disturbed human bones apart - in particular the skull fragments from within the burial 13744 

Definition: fill of pit 

Execution: trowel, hand pick 

Condition: dry, hot 

Consistency: soft and loose - disturbed; some harder patches which represent the disturbed and fragmentary patches of mudbrick 

Colour: mid greyish brown 

Texture: silty loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: badly disturbed human skull belonging to skeleton 13744 below, tile, pottery, obsidian, small fragments of lime stone 

Post-depositional Features: animals and roots 

Basal Boundary: clear - comes on to undisturbed grave fill below (13745)
