Unit 14602
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: North
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: posthole; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: basal deposit
Discussion: Deposit contains large dumps of plaster, presumably from platform. Upper part of fill slightly coarser than lower and less plaster, probable slumping of room fill (13498) into pit as fill compacts!
Upper plaster dump 6cm thick max and extends across width of pit: first stuff removed when post being taken and last stuff put back in. Most of stone from fill seemed to come from plaster. Lower part of fill more diffuse with cut on N side when remainder of fill removed, so base a little unclear!
