Discussion: Cut for removal of post. Well defined at top but towards base becomes dirtier and diffuse. Section photo prob more representative of cut, but suspect base messed around when post removed. Also two indentations/ notches on north and south sides, possibly marks of shovel handles or leverage points where staffs put under post to lever it up? (see sketch).
