Unit 1463
Category: Cut dug in 1996
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: levelling cut
Data Category Information: Description: general levelling
Dimensions: c.3.4m n-s, e-w extent unknown
Discussion: The cut we follow has a clear N.S edge, cutting through the platform at the southern end and floors further north. Its east west return appears to follow the line of the wall (to the S) and step (to the N). (none of the prompts are very clear.). A levelling cut from the central area of space 71; the possibility of 'erosion' seems unlikely as the cut clearly shaves away the western side of the platform F32 for the levels in wall F22 a step through it is conceivable the N&S cuts are not continuous and therefore not the main event - the continuity is blurred at the arched point.
