Discussion: Generalised midden layer in the south part of 106. I stopped when it came down onto a grey lens in the west part of the deposit. Elsewhere no sharp change was evident but n general the deposit is becoming greyer and richer in charcoal. The higher 'lining' in the E corner may have been cut away but there is no clear evidence for a cut in plan or section.

Unit description: Unit included 1 bag of D.S and 1 bag of >4mm flotation (1533) Small unit with several large cattle size fragments. Recordable fragments include horse teeth, and an articulated proximal metatarsal with 2 tarsals. . There was also a small red deer antler fragment included. A small amount of burning was notes, though there was no evidence of digested bone or gnawing on bone. Overall surface condition was norrmal. Sheep sized material included a tibia, and various shaft and rib fragments. Flotation consisted of mainly tiny scrap size fragments. 1 amphibian vertebra was extracted.
