Description: Trench 9 

 

Discussion: The mortar was fairly clear, especially once the exposed and eroded parts of the wall had been removed. There was no mortar or layer between wall F.2806 and F.2807, so it is hard to separate the walls out. The mortar came clearly onto a room fill layer (15496). The mortar of the east-west running corner of the wall was not given a separate unit numbersince only the corner is being excavated in Trench 9.
