Discussion: A deposit of yellowish looking material with comparatively few inclusions lying in a hollow below the wall (1578). This deposit may represent the consolidation of the ground below the northern part of the wall. The deposit shows the imprint of the wall above due to compression. (1071) may be part of the same deposit continuing into space 106. (1071) was dug some time ago by Anwen.

Consistency: Moderately firm 

Colour: 2.5Y 4/4 Olive brown 

Texture: Clay loam 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Less than 2% bone, charcoal, stone 

Post-depositional Features: compressed above by wall (1578) 

Basal Boundary: Anthropogenic: constructional basal boundary distinct with a wavy form.
