Unit description: Small unit composed largely of sheep-sized long bone fragments. Body-part representation of sheep-sized remains is dominated by long bones, but there are some cranial/dental elements present. Only a few heavily-fragmented fragments of cow-sized material, including a large fragment of a humerus (missing any measurable portions so is not recorded). Unit also included two flotation samples. Sample 1 (#345, >4 mm, 100%) consists largely of sheep-sized scrap and flot scrap. Sample 2 (#344, >4 mm, 100%) includes a pig second phalanx with a refit unfused epiphysis along with another unfused epiphysis that is missing its shaft. Burning is rare, but evident; there is some evidence of digestion and gnawing on sheep-sized remains (mainly carpals/tarsals). Flot sample #1 weight: 74 grams. Flot sample #2 weight: 130 grams. (These are not included in the overall weight proportions).
