Discussion: Distinct layer of deep brown burnt material forming a lens beneath layer 1632. The layer represents a clear episode of deposition and was extremely rich in carbonised remains, wheat, barley, lentils (plus many other seeds and charred wood). It could have been the residue from the cleaning out of an oven base. The material was very fine soft and homogenous compared to those layers above and below.
