Unit 16861
Category: Layer dug in 2008
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: disturbed area
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: NS 2,7m - EW 1,75m - thickness up to 25cm
Discussion: Pit cutting walls F.5054, 5052 and 5057 and itself cut by pits 16819 and 16827.
North: when removing the pit we discovered another grave cutting 16861, therefore we stopped the unit though the pit is probably not empty. Not sampled because heaviy mixed up.
South: We removed loose soil until the area where it became harder - yet it is not clear of these are the actual borders of the disturbed area.
Some dislocated, disarticulated bones cluster in the pit.
