Discussion: This layer was identified when it became clear that the sediment excavated by CMF in the NW corner of the space was clearly different from the sediment excavated by FKJ in the NE corner. That’s why an important part of the normal finds of this unit were not differentiated from the finds of u. 17272.

The layer is really different from u. 17272, especially the very large texture and the dark colors. The boarders are really clear with a line of plaster and compact roomfill. The layer doesn't join the walls at the north at the north and SW, where we find the same layer as u. 17272.

It contained lots of finds, particularly the large amounts of huge pottery sherds, miniature vases, clayballs, etc.

The shape of the bottom dips, although it is disturbed by an animal burrow. The fill shows different colors, similar to the roomfill of u. 17272 but u. 17274 has a unity and coherence in its color, texture, concentration of finds, etc. Furthermore, the layer at the bottom and all around, seems to be the same as u. 17272 (more compact, lighter in color, more meterogenous, etc.). Allthose facts led us to think that it has its own coherence, it doesn't seem to be another level of roomfill. It must have been dug into the roomfill in antiquity.
