Discussion: Second spit if room fill in Sp 310. Looks very lumpy by now, also visible on the photos. It is impossible to create and even surface with the trowel as the lumps are differently hard. Fill still disturbed by a lot of animal burrows which were emptied seperately as 18304. There are frequent lumps of pale yellow clay, orange clay, grey clay, pieces of lime and charcoal, some spots of red pigment and two pieces of red painted plaster. The soil of the last centimeters towards the bottom, however, was finer, softer and contained fewer clay lumps - an even surface could be created with the trowel.
Fill contains four clusters of pot sherds, animal bones and small finds (18319, 18320, 18321, 18323). In between 18320 and 18321 next to the Western wall 5058 fragments of unfired pottery were found. 18323 also contained unfired pottery.
