Discussion: Cluster of pot sherds and animal bones in the NW corner of Space 310. Cluster 18320 was defined after spit of room fill 18303 was removed. Above, large sherds and animal bones clustered as well, in the whole western part of Sp 310 (18316). Might be the continuation of cluster 18316 that was already visible some 10-15cm above - or might be otherwise related to it.
After removing 18303 three separate clusters were visible in the western paert of Sp 310 (18319, 18320, 18321). A fourth one in the East (18323). After exposing it fully, 18320 was reaching further SE and therefore very close to 18319 and 18323. The unit numbers were kept because finds had already been sent in. It does not seem, however, that any of the three clusters would represent separate activities.
The soil in between the finds was treated as room fill (18318) but the finds from the sieve collected as 18320. Note that there was an animal burrow in the middle of the cluster. It seemed to respect the large sherds, though.
18320 contains two pot halves. One is sticking vertically in the fill. Some sherds had phytoliths on their downside (see drawing and photos). The sherds of X1 had yellow clay sticking to their insides. Directly next to it an animal mandibula was found (x4).
