Dimensions: 1.70m N-S 3.20m E-W

Description: irregular surface smooth in places heavily cracked in centre. Gradual slope from north to oven lip (82) also gradual slope from south-east corner to north west. Includes patches of white plaster. To north of oven (82) there are ash deposits. Western area there is a patch of brown scorching. Western area included concentrated plaster forming north south line which may belong to truncated platform lining.

Discussion: N/B this surface was recorded using the 1996 system which is now no longer in use.
Surface as left by Mellaart's excavation, fairly smooth but uneven , general tipping from south east - north west. Patches and areas of ashy and scorched deposits probably derived from the fire installation . To the west were plaster alignments that appeared to be truncated benches from Mellaart's excavation. Not yet investigated as the space is half sectioned.

The west and north sections lie on the limit of excavation line thus arbitrary.
