Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: white clay; Deposition: multiple
Dimensions: 0.30 m N-S x 0.40 m E-W x 90 mm thick
Discussion: This is the same sequence of floors as (2756) & (2768) but here in the SW corner the survival is far better than elsewhere being protected by the wall to the North and platform to the West. Floors curve up to wall and platform and in this corner is cut by burial 264. this series of floors in total is 90 mm thick with a basal deposit of packing 30mm thick, very finely mixed plaster aggregates in a clay matrix with a few darker lenses. The remaining 60 mm comprises ca. 9-10 visible floor horizons of plaster and mud packing (see description for colours), some horizons have a distinct grey lens which may be pedological however its very clear and sharp and fine, it may be soot. The packing thick ness varies also.
On subsequent investigations it appears that the burial was cut at a later horizon and not through these floors.
