Discussion: Neolithic skull that was partially baked by the fire in B. 77. This skull (19501) was not as thoroughly baked when compared to skull 19500 to the west of it at the same level in potentially the same pit. In addition, there are post-cranial elements below the skull which are the same as skull 19501 and baked to a similar state. Above 19501 blackened post-cranial elements were scattered in the upper part of the grave pit. (19501) = (19535).
It is likely the skull was fully defleshed when the fire occurred due to the lack of brain tissue endocranially and the state of baking of the bones.
