Unit 19610
Category: Layer dug in 2011

Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: occupation; Deposition: composite (floors/bedding/plaster/packing/occupation)
Dimensions: .61 m EW; .71 m NS x .03-.04 m
Discussion: This layer is composed of the layers of trampled soil built up from occupation. Removing this layer revealed a plaster surface and a localized half-circle of ash underneath the overhang of wall f.4087-- as well as the southern side of the built edge we began to identify (see the emerging partition in the sketch). All three of these features therefore predate the evidence of occupation found in layer (19610).
Recognition: Sectioned off when plaster construction was revealed, sectioning off the SE corner
