Discussion: THE UNIT'S BOUNDARIES WERE VERY WELL DEFINED AS A DISCONTINUITY IN THE PLATFORM. THE UNIT WAS ORIGINATED CUTTING THE NORTH EAST PLATFORM. THE UNIT -19843 CUTS THE CONTEXT IT IS INCLUDED IN AND IS A CONTINUATION OF THE ABOVE POST RETRIEVAL SCAR. IN THE ABANDONMENT PHASE OF B89 SEVERAL POSTS AND POSSIBLY BURIALS WERE REMOVED FROM THE HOUSE. UNIT -19843 IS CHARACTERIZED BY A SECTION IN WHICH SEVERAL LAYERS OF PLASTER AND MAKE UP MATERIAL OVERLAPS. A STEPPED SLOPE ALSO CHARACTERIZES THE SECTION; THE NORTH SIDE OF THE CUT IS STEPPED AND UNDERCUT TOWARDS THE NE PLATFORM, THE SOUTH SIDE IS STEPPED.
THE UNIT WAS EXCVATED BY USING TROWEL AND MATTOCK.
