Discussion: The skull had heavy salting around it, thought at one time to be plaster by Wendy says it is gypsum salt. The skull was slightly out of position as it was vertical. A wood or antler fastener lay directly on the ribs / vertebrae (1995.x1) surviving poorly. In general the skeleton seemed little disturbed, but obviously parts are missing. Presumably they were removed when 1466 was put into cut 1399. It is possible that the missing bones are those of 1467, which is pretty much what 1995 doesn't have.
