Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: oven; Material: plaster; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: unpainted

Discussion: This unit consisted of a succeeding burned layer of an oven's base (F.5041). This layer sealed a compact and well preserved white plaster layer. Because of fire damage some parts of this layer vary in colour. However soil consistency and its composition indicate this layer seems to be homogeneous.
The white plaster layer which lies directly underneath this unit shows also that it is the very last layer of the oven base to be excavated.
