Unit 20060
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: highly packed make-up layer
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: building; Material: pise-like; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This unit consisted of a highly packed and thick make-up layer sitting underneath the next (3rd) layer of white plaster. In some parts found just make-up layer without white plaster. Becouse of quite flat surface and gradual boundaries it was possible to establish an extent of this unit. This make-up layer is much thicker than ones excavated so far in this space. Moreover this make-up layer was partially eroded.
The basal boundary of this unit was distinct and very sharp because of the sandy layer (u.20064) sitting underneath.
